REVIEW: Tribe of Hackers Security Leaders: Tribal Knowledge from the Best in Cybersecurity Leadership

In the “Tribe of Hackers” series, authors Marcus Carey and Jennifer Jin interview 70 cyber security professionals to gain their perspectives on the field of cyber security. For anyone interested in a career in cyber security or who wants to learn more about this ever-changing, dynamic subject, the insights from these folks is at the same time brilliant and simply common sense. The clear theme throughout is that it is not only up to the cyber security professionals to protect our systems but all team members.

As Kent Nabors, one of the professionals interviewed for the book, said, “Technology is made by people. Technology is implemented by people. Technology is used (and abused) by people. So, perhaps this isn’t a technology problem but rather a people problem.”

For anyone just starting to be interested in the field but doesn’t have in-depth knowledge, this is a great starting point.

In addition to the information and words of wisdom, the authors provide contact information for these experts if you want to find out more from any of them.
