Vulnerability and Threat Evaluation
You can sit back and hope that your organization won’t be attacked, but that’s not a cyber security plan, that is just wishful thinking.
In any good cyber security plan, the first step is finding out what risks and vulnerabilities exist.
At Commonwealth Sentinel, a Vulnerability and Threat Evaluation (VATE) can look at a number of factors that may expose your system to threat actors. Cyber security is more than just technology solutions. It also includes physical security and personnel security.
Technical evaluation includes analysis of network traffic (internal and external), servers, network infrastructure, wireless connectivity, and device security. Additionally, penetration testing will determine if your vulnerabilities can be exploited by external threat actors.
Physical security will consist of evaluating intrusion detection systems, locks, and authorized personnel policies.
Personnel security will examine the insider threat (malicious or negligent). This includes assessing employee level of threat awareness and response to social engineering attempts to infiltrate your network.
Upon completion, we will provide a report on our findings which will identify your vulnerabilities, any successful exploits and remediation steps to improve your security posture ranging from technical and policy changes to training programs.
