You can sit back and hope your organization won’t be attacked, but that’s not a cyber security plan, just wishful thinking.
The first step in any good cyber security plan is finding out what risks and vulnerabilities exist.
At Commonwealth Sentinel, a Vulnerability and Threat Evaluation (VATE) can examine several factors that may expose your system to threat actors. Cyber security is more than just technology solutions; it also includes physical security and personnel security.
Technical evaluation includes analyzing network traffic (internal and external), servers, network infrastructure, wireless connectivity, and device security. Additionally, penetration testing will determine whether external threat actors can exploit your vulnerabilities.
Physical security will evaluate intrusion detection systems, locks, and authorized personnel policies.
Personnel security will examine the insider threat (malicious or negligent). This includes assessing employees’ level of threat awareness and response to social engineering attempts to infiltrate their networks.
Upon completion, we will provide a report on our findings, identifying your vulnerabilities, any successful exploits, and remediation steps to improve your security posture, ranging from technical and policy changes to training programs.
